Episode 112 – Peter Shickele – aka PDQ Bach

PDQ Crop 2Live via vocal telegraph this week is none other than Peter Shickele, aka P.D.Q. Bach, J.S. Bach’s only forgotten son.  We discuss his career, his invention of the hardart, and even go back to the early days of record collecting, where nabbing a bunch of singles was your only option.  It was an honor and an insane amount of fun to speak with him.

  1. While in Lost Angels, did Mr. Bach exhume that old 3/4 ditty, ”The Lantern Waltz”? I can still strains to hear the familiar adapted theme from childhood Saturday mornings misspent woodpecker cartoon bingeing.
