Episode 157 – Lee Leshen on Howie Mandel – Fits Like a Glove

Leshen_SD

This week, I talk with one of the producers of the Back to the Future documentary “Back in Time,” Lee Leshen, who brings up Howie Mandel’s insane crowdwork comedy for the first time on the show.  Give it a listen, and go see the movie, which comes out the same day as The Million McFly March to Benefit Parkinson’s.

You can win a chance to be on Comedy on Vinyl by donating to the Michael J. Fox Foundation!  Just check out our recent post for that info here: https://stolendress.com/comedyonvinyl/donate-to-parkinsons-win-a-chance-to-be-on-the-podcast/

Donate to Parkinson’s, Win a Chance to Be on the Podcast

How would you like to be on Comedy on Vinyl? Well, you can.

As many of you might know, Jason is organizing The Million McFly March, which raises money for Parkinson’s research. Between now and October 22nd, 2015, if you donate here: bit.ly/millionmcflymarch and put “Comedy on Vinyl Raffle” (or something at least that obvious) in the Personal Note before you finalize your donation, you’ll be entered into a raffle to join Jason on the Comedy on Vinyl podcast, either in person if you live in (or for some reason decide to fly, at your own expense, to) LA, or by Skype or phone. You’ll sit down (or stand, your choice) for a full hour or more and discuss your favorite comedy album, promote what or whomever you choose, and at the same time you’ll be giving money to a great cause.

For every $10 you donate via that link, you’ll be given twenty chances to be on the show. The more you donate, common sense provides you’ll figure out the rest. Because you’re smart people. So please, go to bit.ly/millionmcflymarch and donate today!

Thanks as always,
The Comedy on Vinyl Team

Episode 99 – The Levinson Brothers on Stan Freberg Presents the United States of America, Vol 1 – The Early Years

LevinsonBrosThe Levinson Brothers sat down to discuss their fond memories of being introduced to Stan Freberg’s albums by their dad, and how that inevitably led to their current album, 2776, created with friend of the show Rob Kutner.  A future history lesson featuring Wil Forte, Aubrey Plaza, Reggie Watts, Paul F. Tompkins and basically everyone else you love, 2776 is not just a genuinely great comedy and music album, it also benefits the charity OneKid OneWorld.  Buy it July 1st or pre-order it on Amazon now.
