“Looking
Forward” A Semi-Finalist in FX Networks’ Pilot
Contest
In June 2006, StolenDress Entertainment
and Shadow Horse Productions entered the pilot cut of
the trailer for their mockumentary, “Looking Forward:
The Jason Klamm Story” into the FX Networks/MySpace.com
“$50,000 Comedy Competition,” along with 3,500
other entrants.
From those 3,500 entries, only 20 were chosen as semi-finalists
by the network – one of which was Looking Forward.
The winner would win $50,000 to make a pilot exclusively
for FX. Though the online voting, and therefore the final
decision, leaned toward another entrant, a cable network’s
faith in the comedic potential of Looking Forward had
been shown.

As
a result, Moder/Durham films has offered their help in
securing A-list talent for the Looking Forward pilot.
Additionally, John P. Avlon, former Clinton aide and author
of the best-seller “Independent Nation,” offered
the use of his book as a turning point for the title character,
as well as support in finding real-life politicians for
cameos.
Additionally,
StolenDress and Shadow Horse are currently in talks with
several cable outlets about a number of comedy, mockumentary
and reality programming concepts, including Looking Forward. |
