Vice-Precedence began as a proposed segment for the educational series "Inform Nation," when it was soon discovered that the men who have held the title "Vice President" were too... much for a short. They needed their own feature. Unfortunately, there are too many of them to squeeze into a simple 88-minute documentary. We chose eight stand-outs who never ascended to the throne of President. Some of these men you've heard of, but even those guys you don't know much about. Parodying not just Ken Burns' style but that of every cable documentary you've ever seen, Vice-Precedence aims not to take itself seriously in order for the insane facts surrounding this office to properly be punctuated. This isn't the History Channel. Hitler only takes up twenty minutes of the thing, we swear.* The company is currently seeking $500,000 in funds to continue Vice-Precedence in earnest. With a research/interview trip planned along with reenactments and post-production costs, this film can be finished within the year, potentially in time for the 2008 Presidential Election. |
