Matthew Saxe, B.A. |
Matt Saxe has been producing award-winning
theatre and films for nearly seven years, and acting in film, TV,
and theatre for over a decade. Matt's most recent release was the
underground doc hit "9/11: Press for Truth," which is
soon to be followed up by the documentary "Buying the Pharm,"
an exposé on the pharmaceutical industry.
Matt brings a deep love and fascination
with American history combined with a passion for filmmaking to
Vice-Precedence. The inspiration for the film came to him after
watching a documentary series on all the Presidents, and the following
night a special on VP Henry A. Wallace. The idea of a documentary
devoted to the Vice Presidents who were never President, focusing
on the unique and strange role and history of the office struck
Matt as the perfect subject for a documentary that had never been
done before.
Matt's work on Vice Precedence has
given him a whole new perspective on American history and politics
and has gained him knowledge on the subject no sane person ought
to have. This was recognized when Gore Vidal referred to Matt and
co-producer Jason Klamm as "Better than Ken Burns," regarding
Matt's preparation, questions, and their interview style. Matt's
goal with Vice-Precedence is not just to educate about the Vice
Presidency, but also to entertain audiences and inspire them to
learn more about it, and maybe be able to make some interesting
comments at the next cocktail party they go to. |
